Play Therapy

What is Play Therapy?

Play therapy provides a way for individuals to express their experiences and feeling through a self-guided and self-healing process. Through play, individuals can communicate their past experiences and knowledge. This integrative therapeutic approach is the vehicle for the client to get to know and accept themselves.

How Does Play Therapy work?

Play therapy helps individuals cope with difficult emotions and find solutions to problems. It allows children to change the way they think about, feel toward, and resolve their concerns. (Landreth, Kaugars & Russ 2001)
